La Vida Loca: Community Panel Discusses Themes from "Always Running"

Please join us on October 27, 2020 from 3-4pm for a Community Panel discussion of this year’s One Campus, One Book selection "Always Running: La Vida Loca: Gang Days in LA." Faculty and students will discuss themes from the novel and reflect on their related experiences and work.

Panel speakers include:

Dr. Luis F Nuño – Professor with Sociology

Dr. Luis F. Nuño is an Assistant Professor of Sociology. His research explores the consequences of criminalization and marginalization of black and brown communities in America's urban centers. Dr. Nuño volunteer work teaching career development workshops inside prisons east of Los Angeles.

Danny Madrid – Professor with Department of Sociology

Daniel Whitlow – Student

Allen Burnett – Student
